Took over Development Manager responsibility for two business mission critical platforms:
A platform to facilitate the switching of customers’ bank accounts within 7 days using .NET / WF
A platform used to process the majority of transactions conducted by account holders.
These constituted a £70M+ programme over 6 years.
Responsible for: Leading a technical team (35+ members) to successful delivery, leading planning and estimating, ensuring risks, actions, issues and decisions…Took over Development Manager responsibility for two business mission critical platforms:

Internal: Azure Test Environment (ATE)

Owned and led the development of an internal tool that automates creation of Visual Studio 2012 load test rigs on Azure.
ATE has now been used by various large global Microsoft product teams and customer engagements. One of these load testing engagements (Netherlands) won the "Most Innovative" award at a Microsoft Internal Conference (5000+ attendees). -
Major UK Financial Services Organisation

Developed a system to allow customers to automatically transfer their bank accounts. The solution is built using .NET and Windows Workflow 4.0.
Successfully led the development team for Release 2 (at its peak, the team consisted of 10 developers, running for 3 months). Release was delivered early.
Feature lead on the "Balance Transfer" part of the system.
The project won the "Best Collaboration" award at a Microsoft Internal Conference (5000+ attendees). -
Healthcare Security PoC

Developed a security PoC with the Azure security product team to provide single-sign-on and minimal disclosure, using Azure and Claims-based-Auth.

Built a solution to repeatedly automate setup, provisioning and management of SharePoint intranet sites. Built a suite of PowerShell scripts to fulfil clients’ requirements.
Subsequently harvested (and white-labelled) scripts as IP; they have now been used as an accelerator across the majority of large SharePoint 2010 development projects at MCS UK. -
